The Bridal Studio

Choosing your wedding dress should be a momentous occasion. After all you are choosing the dress of your dreams! At the Bridal Studio, you will receive a warm and friendly welcome, one-to-one guidance with our highly trained bridal stylists. Our job is to guide you every step of the way in making sure that you look and feel sensational on your big day. We run our boutique on an appointment system and always allow 2 hours for each appointment – it’s surprising how long it can take and we never rush you. Once you are settled in our beautiful, private viewing room, with a cup of tea in hand and your guests sat comfortably, it’s time to start the fun part!

The Dress

We recommend starting your dress search as soon as you can, and I’m sure most of you have been thinking about this since you first got engaged! All of our dresses are made to order and take between 4 and 6 months, which means that your dress will arrive 2-3 months before your wedding which leaves ample time for any alterations that may be needed to ensure your dress fits perfectly to you. However if you have less time than that, don’t panic as some of our fabulous ranges can have your dress ready in 7 weeks!

First Appointment

During your first appointment, you will receive a one-to-one personalised consultation with one of our highly trained bridal stylists and you will have our undivided attention in helping you to find your perfect dress, all in the privacy of our boutique. We never allow other brides to be looking at the gowns at the same time as you. After we have found out what style you may be looking for and your desired wedding theme, we will show you our lovely dresses, and let you try on as many as you like! Our bridal stylists will also guide you to dresses that you may not have considered, but trust us, we know what looks fabulous on every shape! When you have found the dress of your dreams, we can help you to complete your look to with our stunning collections of award winning shoes, veils, jewellery and wedding hair accessories.

As our boutique is relatively small, we only have seating for a maximum of 4 guests in the viewing room. You are welcome to bring guests with you, but do try and limit it as too many conflicting opinions can actually do more harm than good. We usually advise for the first fitting to just bring one or two guests whose opinion you really value, and then when you have found your dress, bring the others to another appointment where they can help advise you on the little extras to go with your dress.

Alterations

Most dresses will need some alterations, and we have a fabulous seamstress who can do this for you. When your dress arrives, we will then arrange the fittings with the seamstress (which can be done in-store or at her house, depending on what is more convenient for you) and you will probably need 2 to 3 fittings. It is important that you choose your wedding shoes and underwear (especially your bra) by this point so that we can ensure your dress fits you perfectly. Seamstress charges are paid directly to the seamstress after the work has been done. However if you already know a seamstress you are under no obligation to use ours and can simply collect your dress and take it away with you!

Finishing Details

All of the accessories in the bridal studio have been carefully chosen to compliment our dresses. From Swarovski covered tiaras to handmade vintage-insipred headbands, soft sparkly or dramatic veils and shoes, shoes and more shoes, we have everything to complete your bridal look.
